Disney Buys Marvel

I was suprised when I heard the news about Disney buying Marvel. What does this mean for Marvel fans? In my view it means we have more marvel comic cartoons such as Spiderman and X-men. The 90's Spiderman didn't really end with a proper conclusion. The writers say Fox wanted to end their contract, so they couldn't really finish the show. Also, X-men last season lost its quality. However, now that Disney has it we can see all these shows on the Disney channel. also, now that Disney owns Marvel there are more chances that there will be a 3rd season for Spectacular Spiderman.

Marvel Comic's Cloak and Dagger



In this part of Maximum Carnage Series Cloak and Dagger make their first appearance. They save Spiderman after he is defeated by Doppelganger and Shriek. However, later Carnage appears, and finally comes face to face with Spiderman. With Spiderman weakened from the last fight he is unable to fight at his full strength. As a result, he isn't able to help Dagger and she dies. This was a sad part.



I couldn't believe Dagger had died. After Spiderman and Cloak are defeat and faced a heavy loss a new ally appear in the series. Can anyone guess who it is ? Yes, the new ally is Venom. Finally !

Maximum Carnage Part 3

This is the 3rd part of the series. I remember in the game you had to first climb the wall and then you finally get caught up with Shriek and Doppleganger. Here is the game version below.



Usually when I used to play the game I used to punch the water power till it broke off. Then I would pick up the water tower with my Spider strenght and throw it on the Doppleganger.

Maximum Carnage Part 2

This is second part of Maximum Carnage posted by Mark Basso. The part gives a little background on Shriek and Carnage. Shriek talks about how she was captured by Cloak, and Carnage talks about how he became Carnage. Cletus Kasady was in a prision with Eddie Brock and Venom symbiote manage to visit Eddie Brock in prison and it bonded with him. However, this time it left its offspring behind who managed to bond with Kassidy. This is how Cletus Kasady become Carnage. Later on Shriek and Carnage find another villian called the Doppleganger. Doppleganger then joins Carnage and Shriek.




Doppleganger costume is exactly the same as Spiderman's costume. This is why Carnage and Shriek confused him with Spiderman, and tried to hunt him down. When Carnage found out Doppleganger was not Spiderman he still wanted to kill him. However, Shriek had the ability to manipulate sound toward Carnage. With this power she prevented Carnage from killing Doppleganger.

Maximum Carnage Part 1

When I saw the trailer I was impressed. Maybe Marvel should make a Spiderman movie based on Maximum Carnage. However, if Sam Raimi is going to directs it then there is no point. After the trailer I googled Maximum Carnage after a few years and to my surprise there was an actual youtube movie directed by user Mark Basso. Usually toy movies suck, but Mark Basso did an amazing job so far. I even managed to get a non-Spiderman to watch this clip. He was impressed.

The first part starts off with Ravencroft where Cletus
Kasady is locked up. The Carnage symbiote is hidden inside his blood. It gets released as soon as one of the Doctors injects him.

Ahh ! Casisdy is bonded with the Carnage symboite again. He is loose and set on a killing spree. During his escape he comes across another nut case who called her self Shriek. Shriek allies erself with Carnage together they spread chaos accross the streets of New York.

One of the best Spiderman video games of the 90's was Maximum Carnage. This game was based on a fourteen part comic taken from Marvel Comic's Spiderman. The game was an amazing side scrolling fighting game made for the Sega Genesis and Snes consoles. Maximum Carnage was so amazing that many fans wanted a sequel. Unforunately, the same time and effort was not placed on its sequel. Marvel Comics after Maximum Carnage published a comic series called Spider-Man & Venom: Separation Anxiety. The only improvement in Separation Anxiety game was that it enabled gamers to select a two players option. As for this comic series the story line was horrible, and possibly even worst than the game itself . Anyway in this blog, I will focus on the Maximum Carnage Series. Till this day Spiderman, in my opinion has not had a better story line series. From the day Maximum Carnage was released I waited for Marvel to give Spiderman another good comic series. Unforunately, Marvel Comics was not able to meet this demand. However, Spiderman has a lot of fans all over the World. To my satisfaction a youtube user actually decided to make a youtube movie based on the game and comic. So far, this user had done and amazing job making a trailer. The trailer itself receieved over a million views.
