This is second part of Maximum Carnage posted by Mark Basso. The part gives a little background on Shriek and Carnage. Shriek talks about how she was captured by Cloak, and Carnage talks about how he became Carnage. Cletus Kasady was in a prision with Eddie Brock and Venom symbiote manage to visit Eddie Brock in prison and it bonded with him. However, this time it left its offspring behind who managed to bond with Kassidy. This is how Cletus Kasady become Carnage. Later on Shriek and Carnage find another villian called the Doppleganger. Doppleganger then joins Carnage and Shriek.
Doppleganger costume is exactly the same as Spiderman's costume. This is why Carnage and Shriek confused him with Spiderman, and tried to hunt him down. When Carnage found out Doppleganger was not Spiderman he still wanted to kill him. However, Shriek had the ability to manipulate sound toward Carnage. With this power she prevented Carnage from killing Doppleganger.
